Thriller bark is good with tons of fun aesthetics, questions of morality issues, sensits humor still in play, and its sense of controlled momentum where everything made sense.

The arc is hilarious, with many funny moments, such as luffy pushing the zombie back into the ground.

While i said that i enjoyed the humor in this arc and oda was smart for relying more on the humor, i also would have liked a more gothic/horror based one piece arc.

This is mostly because i'm a huge horror fan, but i feel like this would have provided something truly unique to the story.

A masterful blend of horror and humor, thriller bark stands out with brook's heartbreaking backstory and zoro's legendary sacrifice.

While pacing wavers, the arc's unique atmosphere, strong character moments, and perfect balance of comedy and darkness make thriller bark an essential one piece arc.

Its unfortunate that thriller bark was sandwiched between two of the best arcs in one piece.

It wasnt the worst arc or the most boring, and it does set up some recurring characters and introduces brook.

The power of the arc comes at the end, it establishes an important character and a fan favourite moment.

A safe top 5 moment from across the entire series.

There's also an incredible callback and connection formed.

You aren't alone in thinking the arc is weak, but i'd say it's quite important.
