I'm visiting biloxi this week for some baseball and wanted to know a few things/get some recommendations.
I've seen recommendations to stay south of the railroad tracks, but how is it between howard and beach blvd?

Any other recommendations on restaurants?

I was very happy with biloxi.

You have the gulf for the beach, views and seafood.
Beau rivage is the best of the casinos hands down but there are other good choices. Read also: Craigslist Lincoln Listing: The Clues You've Been Missing
Gulfport is a quick trip.
You can even hit new orleans, gulf shores al and pensacola, fl if you want to carve out day trips.
While i miss the prices and people from the midwest, i also don't want to return to flyover country just yet.
That's what brings me to consider biloxi.
Seems as though the weather is nice, nature is beautiful, and prices are good.
We spent only a couple of days in biloxi as part of a touring trip through tx, mi and la.
With a day to fill in from hattiesburg, before needing to be in biloxi that afternoon, and deciding that although it (h) was a nice looking university town, we didnt need to spend a whole day there, we headed to alabama!
I would recommend either reviewing the tourist/travel tags or searching for things like visiting in the sub (which don't show up on mobile apparently ).
That said, the wiki is a good idea.
