You were not, in fact, excluded from the event;

You were simply not invited.

People are not required to invite.

I would say something like i was talking to x the other day and mentioned the party and they said they didn't get their invite, i just wanted to check if you have the right email address for them.

Yta for sure, you don't go to a party you are not invited to unless it's specifically to make a scene.

Your coworker that made the party might be asshole depending on their reason.
