Recently we sent the future of peoplesoft survey to our email subscribers and peoplesoft professionals from around the globe responded to it.
This survey was created to see how the peoplesoft community feels about the future of the peoplesoft application.
Twenty years and a few employers later, my organization is still using peoplesoft and has no intention to stop.
But it's reasonable to expect that peoplesoft isn't immortal and maybe has ten years to go.

But the peoplesoft workforce is retiring.
Whats an organization to do?
Moving forward, peoplesoft is investigating the viability of new technologies to make sure they are auditable, contextual, mobile, secure, targeted, and value additive.
Two of the biggest achievements in peoplesofts evolution are its transition to continuous delivery and the introduction of the fluid user interface.
Its becoming easier for customers to outsource the care of their peoplesoft systems to partners or, in the future, maybe even oracle themselves.
The cloud makes the infrastructure significantly cheaper, and the peoplesoft cloud architecture will make the administration simpler too.
