Before filling the silo, plan which crops you want to store and in what quantities.

This will help you maximize space and minimize waste.

Heres 20 to help you make the most of your first spring.

Do not chop down more trees then you need for the first day.

At most, you should only chop down 4 trees to clear up some space for your seeds.

The reason being that you only level up when you go to bed, and four trees will get you level 1 foraging skill.

You will wake up at 6.

This allows you to have less silos on your farm.

Put a chest down nearby to hold multiple stacks of hay (much larger capacity than a silo) & just reload it when it gets low.

If your silo is full, and you still have a coop or barn that has not fully been upgraded, you can pull all hay from the hay hopper (in coop or barn) and store that hay in a chest.

Then scythe more grass to refill your silo.
