Do you have the deluxe coop yet?

You can't remove the hay straight from the silo;

Only from the coop/barn, and only when the feeding tray is empty.

Once you build and fill your first silo for your coop/barn (whichever you prefer for whichever farm map!) you can pull all the hay out of the hopper and put it in a chest!

Then rinse and repeat as necessary as the silo fills up again.

Once you have a silo, any grass that's scythed down has a chance of becoming hay and being automatically placed into the silo.

Interacting with the silo just shows it's capacity.

Silo supplies are dispensed within the coop/barns, you have to extract from there and place it on the bed/bench inside.

Press x on the thing full of hay in the barn/coop.

It's to the left of the feeding troughs.

But you don't need to.

There's a hay dispenser in the coops and barns that you can also take the hay from to put it in the trough.

Luckily, silos are super easy to build and are very straightforward to use.

Here's all the info you'll need before and after constructing silos on your farm.

Simply put, silos are for storing hay for your animals.

The silo is a type of farm building purchasable from robin at the carpenter's shop.

It takes two days to build.

When complete, it stores hay from grass cut on the farm.
