Stardew Valley Silo: Are You Using It Wrong? - OpenSIPS Trunking Solutions
Overview
There are two ways to get hay in the game.
You can buy it outright from marnie and that will cost you 50 gold per piece but if you make the silo you can cut all the grass that is growing.
Once you build and fill your first silo for your coop/barn (whichever you prefer for whichever farm map!) you can pull all the hay out of the hopper and put it in a chest! Read also: Myaci: The Future You Decide – But Are You Making The Right Choice?

Each silo can store up to 240 hay.

Does silo automatically put the hay in the coop (i've already scythed the weed growing outside)?
Or do i have to do it by myself?
Feeding only happens automatically with a deluxe coop (or deluxe barn).
In your coop, along the top wall is a feeding trough (looks like a long bench, sort of).
If you use the scythe to get grass, hay goes directly into your silo, you can check the amount by right clicking the silo, it does not decay, only way to lose hay is to take it out yourself or an animal uses it.
