Most “dark” jokes i hear nowadays are just played for shock value.

There’s no real reason to laugh other than the surprise of the dark nature of the joke.

And even some funny dark jokes can still be harmful.

Brushing that fact off with “it’s just a dark joke” or “ur such a snowflake” is stupid.

It's all just dark humor and jokes, but it's clear that his main purpose is to make others feel uncomfortable and create an awkward situation.

Dark humor can be good but it tends to rely a lot on shock and is often overdone to the point where so much is dark humor that it no longer becomes special.
