Aug 8, 2014 · my impression of em thus far has been that physicians are okay with their jobs but the pay and time off are what really make it worth it.
If you don't love and embrace minor care and inexplicable care (tm) you won't be a good fit for emergency medicine.
That's like 80 percent of it.
From my perception of the medical field, em seems to be the most stressful and exciting of all specialties (which is good for me).
But i'm just curious about what it's like from the inside.
