I think i will start topping off my solvent tank with mineral spirits.

What is the difference anyway?

Seems to work better than mineral spirits alone, and leaves a slightly greasy surface on the parts after you take them out of the parts washer (so they don't start rusting right away).

I apply either to what i want to clean, then pressure wash off the grease.

Yes i understand your fear of water around the machine tools, so maybe use the super concentrate and rinse with kero?

Mineral deposits are granular and tightly bonded to the glass.

There will be some soap, yes, but the real culprit is mineral deposits.

The traditional home remedy for mineral deposits in the shower or tub is white vinegar straight out of the jug.

They suck in comparison to a good cutting oil.

For a general cutting oil i use a similar approach to milgunsmith.

I get the clear pipe threader cutting oil from somewhere like home depot and add some of my stash of old school dark sulfurized oil to the bottle and a splash of tap magic.

Pay particular attention to lubrication.

Get the build info from monarch and see who it was originally sold to.

The dox339 fits the kleen strip gallon cans of solvents.

It also fits some quart cans.

Jul 18, 2007 · probably due to inproper mixing, i find that it is worth while to use at least a drill mixer, a shaker is even better.

When i was doing alot of painting i had a gallon shaker that made a real difference in results.

The cheap smelly mineral spirits also seemed to give uneven results.
