Turn on forcehighpoly in plugins options.
Update your mods with kk manager.

Allows loading of cards saved in koikatsu party (steam release) in koikatu and studio.
Prevents accessories from being removed in shower peeping mode.
No more gaping holes in the head when using hair accessories.
Make sure that you download the actual picture, not a resized version (thumbnail).
The cards must have the format png and the image resolution is 252x352.
It means they don't contain the actual character data, only the picture itself.

Most cards nowadays require you to have the mods and plugins that they use in order to load correctly.
You can use kkmanager to automatically download all of the mods you'll need for loading all cards.
