May 5, 2013 · usually i'll idle at 700 rpm and get around 0. 7 to 0. 8 gal/hr on idle fuel usage but sometimes after a long hard drive of doing 70 with 40k in the trailer it'll idle real low on pressure. Read also: Unidentified Ginger Leak: Prepare For A Mind-Blowing Revelation
Still 700 rpm but oil pressure is down to 24 and fuel usage is as low as 0. 3 gal/hr.
May 16, 2014 · according to cummins minimum allowable oil pressure at idle at operating temperature is 15 psi.
Governed speed with no load is 35 to 40 psi.

About every 2500miles the oil pressure goes down to about 20psi.
Replace the oil filter and pressure pops back up.
