You can certainly use this to likely identify obvious, open bots, but it isn't going to detect any bot.

There's no way to know for sure, but based on what i've seen, the recent flood of ai comment bots seems to have some things in common which can help you spot them:

Usernames that appear as available can at times be banned, removed, or don't exit and are ready to use.
