This burnout has really impacted my ability and motivation to care for my plants and as a result a lot of my plants have died.
I feel extremely guilty and ashamed that i let so many of them die.
Has anyone dealt with this before?

Your plant is suffering from root rot.
Unpot, clean the roots thoroughly and make sure to cut above the soft bits.
Repot in clean soil.
If there's not enough roots left after you prune it, toss.
Vinegar is acetic acid.
Acids are detrimental to plant growth.
If they were mine i would have.
