1:get 40 tranq arrows (if high level make tranq darts) 2:get 100 bio toxin.

3:get 400 berries of any kind.

I'd recommend having at least 70 tranq arrows and a crossbow before you try and tame it.

Get to a high place.

Shoot at head with tranq arrows(or tranq darts if your higher level) until it's knocked out.

4. feed it lots of mejoberries.

Give it good name.

Largely depends on the level so as an example:

A level 145 takes around 60 darts.

Lower levels are way easier to tame but i can't give a straight answer so i would suggest using dododex
