The umass boston general education program introduces students to subject matter and skills from across the university, and does so in ways that provide students with a strong foundation for success in future courses and in their career.

General education (gen ed) requirements are a set of course designations selected to provide experiences that lead directly to the achievement of the general education learning objectives by a student who completes them.

The general education council oversees the part of the university curriculum required of all undergraduate bachelor's degree students.

Oversees general education at umass;

Establishes guidelines for all gen ed courses;

Conducts the gen ed course application and course review processes

In order to graduate, undergraduate students need to complete a series of required courses from various disciplines, also known as general education requirements or geneds.

Attendance in class is completely optional and unnecessary when you can simply do the readings.

There was no mid term or final, just papers.
