You can get access to both the flinx and vampire frog staff early on, which have better consistency in attacks.

Flinxes are great due to their tracking on enemies and have a much faster attack rate than the slime.

Jan 19, 2021 · trek down to the ice biome and research the gold/platinum you find and flinx fur.

You’ll need 100 gold/platinum ore to research it, and 14 to craft the flinx set.

Magic mirror up to spawn and craft a flinx fur coat, flinx staff, and a gold/platinum helmet and boots.

Now, you need a whip.

In my opinion she's more useful for exploring, since she can stunlock enemies.

For boss fights she isn't that great, especially because most bosses keep their distance from you and they move too fast for her to hit.

It's better to use the imp staff for bosses

S flinx staff has practically the perfect minion ai, its main trait is its stickiness as its bounces off enemies instead of passing through them like other minions.

Not only does this makes it reliable even against aerial targets, but its consistent hitrate makes it scale particularly well with summon tag and armor penetration.

Oct 15, 2020 · finch staff is found in living trees, slime staves dropped by slimes, and flinx staff is made with flinx fur, which drops from flinxs.

There is also the flinx armor, which is pretty good.

An easy early game armor to get is the obsidian outlaw set, since it's just silk and obsidian, and you can wear that armor all of prehardmode.

Easier to obtain, better ai, higher dps.

Slime staff is only good for money farm.
